City Club recruits the Top Rib Vendors in the country to come to Rib Burnoff.  We draw some of the top Rib Vendors coming from as far as Texas and Florida. The Strongsville Rib Burnoff has been recognized as “Not the Biggest . . . Just the Best” event anywhere around.

However, it is truely our PRIME RIBBERS which are truely the one’s that make this a must stop for the best ribs in town, one weekend out of the year.

The former Twist ‘N Shout has undergone remodeling and is now known as Smokin’ Buckeye BBQ Co. Owners Diane and John Coulston say their wood-smoked, dry-rubbed barbecue is “the best around” and they have the awards to prove it. Among their many awards are “2012 Ohio’s Best Ribs,” presented at the Gold Wings and Ribs Festival in Pomeroy and the People’s Choice Award at the 2o12 Tri-State Rhythm and Rib Fest in Ottawa. The inside format of the local facility, located on the west edge of Carey, has been adjusted to accommodate a sit-down restaurant. “We still have the ice cream as a dessert item,” the owners note, but “barbecue is our priority.” Smokin’ Buckeye BBQ Co. is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Pigfoot BBQ Co. is owned by Jerry & Debbie Gibson. We started in rib Cook-Offs in 1982 in Cleveland, Ohio at the National Rib Cook-Off, which was the first Rib Cook-Off as we know them now.

After owning a pizza & rib restaurant we went professionally into rib competitions in 1989. We’ve traveled the country from Florida to Toronto (in the Skydome), as far west as St. Louis and as far east as Boston.

Along the way we have won over 250 Awards for Best Ribs and Sauce. Ron Conaway and his Texas Pit Barbecue Team want to tell all our cook-off fans and friends to come and see us and get your Texas Pit Fix!! Ron says "I'd been cooking a long time before taking my show on the road back in 1990. My team and I have been seen all over the country since then, Under the Texas Pit Barbecue Banner.

I was also featured on the food network in October 2004. Someone once said that biting into those incomparable ribs and that equally incomparable pulled pork sandwich was like running into a couple of
dear old friends! Many people have discovered the special qualities of Ron's Ribs -n-sauce. We've heard customers and fans call Ron the "Ruler of Ribs" or the "Sultan of Sauce"!!

These types of compliments are great, says Ron and he knows very well that the word of mouth advertising he gets from the people who already know the taste of his award winning ribs-n-sauce is the best advertising out there!! Ron and his team are definitely showman and his set up speaks for itself! it is one of the best on the circuit. Ron says "If you haven't ever tried his ribs or seen his set up Come on out to the show, he is sure you won't regret it!! Our team loves to travel and compete; we enjoy meeting so many new friends and seeing all our old friends. We do approximately 15 shows per year and recently took on a new show that started in 2008 at Rochester NY, where we have taken the 1st Place People’s Choice Award both years 2008, 2009!

Two Guys Bar-B-Q was a first time RIBBER in 2008, missed 2009 and returns to compete for our Awards a second time. Two Guys Bar-B-Q was established in 2005 and has been very successful in the few years they have been in business.

Two Fat Guys specializes in slow smoked Ribs, Pulled Pork and Beef Brisket. All meats are smoked with a combination of apple and cherry woods to give it a smooth natural smoked flavor. Two Fat Guys have won many awards for the Barbecue and their sauces. With all the regions of barbecue across the country, including Carolina Style, Memphis Style, Texas Style, and Kansas City Style. Two Fat Guys have a passion for the Kansas City Style Barbecue. Kansas City style is known for the thick tomato and molasses based Sweet and Tangy Barbecue Sauces. The sauce is always served on the side. The reason for this is because we want you to see and taste the quality of our smoked meat. We don't hide lesser quality under some barbecue sauce. Two Fat Guys have a passion to make the best barbecue they can, with the best ingredients used in all their sauces, rubs and side dishes. Quality barbecue is the only option for Two Fat Guys. Porky-N-Beans is also a long time RIBBER at the Strongsville Rib Burnoff, travelling all the way from Port St. Lucie, Florida. Porky-N-Beans has taken home the Winner’s trophy many times for the “Judge’s Choice”, “People’s Choice” and the “Best Sauce”.

Porky-N-Beans has been a proud member of the National Award Winning Rib Cookers of America since 1983. We are national rib cook off contenders and travel between 10,000 and 15,000 miles a year competing in cities from St. Paul, Minnesota to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We have won numerous rib cook off titles such as the prestigious Golden Rib Award and Best Ribs in America. In addition to barbecue ribs and chicken that are cooked fresh each day, Porky-N-Beans boasts a pulled pork sandwich that surpasses the best! Cooked for 12 hours, smoked with apple and cherry wood in a genuine Southern Pride Oven, and then drizzled with fresh, homemade sauce...JUST DELICIOUS.

We make our presence felt from the moment we enter a city with a $30,000 custom built Dooley which transports a 20' specially equipped, self-contained trailer. Our spectacular 16' air inflated rib chef, holding a slab of ribs in one hand and a barbecue brush in the other, captures an audience of both young and old. We consider ourselves one of the most professional and flamboyant show cased rib teams at any event we attend.
